The Bear Fountains
My drawings are how I conceive a new sculpture. They are the map I use to work out the pose and overall look of the artwork, always knowing that
the art changes as it becomes dimensional.
The drawings help clients understand the creative process and what the completed art will look like.
We begin with sketches, proceed to a finished drawing that is approved before sculpting begins. Clients are informed by photographs or studio visits and approve the completed clay sculpture before molding begins.
Mr. Bear is installed on an ivy covered wall.
Bear head is 12 x 11.50 x 9.75 inches.
The Rill Fountain
I created the Rill Fountain for a private garden whose owner wanted a clean modern look. The inspiration for these fabricated copper fountains was a spring emerging from darkness into light. Like pebbles in a stream, the corrugated surface animates the
water and allows it to fall musically into the pool below.
